I specialize in providing support to individuals of all ages who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, genderqueer, gender nonconforming and those who identify across a broad range of gender and sexuality continuums beyond binary thinking. I have been working on creating change for my clients as well as in the larger community for the past 20 years.
I recognize that there exists a range and diversity of gender and sexuality within all of us. You can expect that I will be sensitive and accepting, flexible, understanding, and non-judgemental. I will engage you as a whole person with an understanding of what it means to live in a judgemental world, whether exploring questions around gender and sexual orientation, or just needing someone who gets it, and understands where you're coming from and how you identify. I am passionate about creating a safe, creative and affirming space for my clients, both within the office and more importantly within themselves.
Working with Youth and Families
Navigating issues around gender and sexuality can be difficult for youth and families. Families and youth need to have access to a safe space where they can talk openly about their experiences and develop skills and strategies toward feeling more confident, comfortable, and empowered. Youth and families can be supported in learning how to navigate challenges at school and in the community, as well as how to respond to extended family pressures and stressors.
